This project is the first time we have designed a Detached Dwelling Unit (DDU) which is similar to an Accessory Dwelling Unit, but larger. Salt Lake City allows DDUs in certain zones of the city as a means to intensify density and alleviate high housing costs. This 3 story/3 bed/3.5 bath will feature exposed beams and - because it eats up much of the lot's backyard area - a roof deck that will provide outdoor space and views. Expected construction: 2022.
